Shari Merrill serves as Hillel International’s Chief Operating Officer, where she leads the organization’s talent, operational, and programmatic teams. Prior to joining Hillel International, Merrill served on the organization’s executive team at the Jewish Federation of Greater Washington as the Chief Impact Officer. In that role, she directed the Federation’s strategic planning, allocations, and community engagement work. Among her key accomplishments in that role were building and launching a data and measurement infrastructure and leading the organization’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic to ensure that the needs of the local Jewish community were met. Previously, she held roles in the private and non-profit sectors focused on human capital strategy and program and product management. She led a $60m portfolio of training and development products that led to high-performing teams and leadership development across Fortune 500 companies. Merrill holds a bachelor’s degree from The George Washington University, a graduate degree from the London School of Economics, and maintains the SHRM-SCP and SPHR credentials from the Society for Human Resource Management and HRCI.
