Executive Vice President

Organization Introduction

The Marlene Meyerson JCC Manhattan (MMJCCM) is a vibrant and beloved Jewish community center, serving thousands of people every day. It is one of the premier JCC’s in the United States, offering a wealth of programs for people of all ages and stages in life, to grow physically, intellectually, and spiritually. MMJCCM was founded in 1989 and moved to its current location on the Upper West Side in 2002. Known for its inclusive, warm, and welcoming environment, MMJCCM is a large, multi-storied facility with state-of-the-art fitness and aquatics centers, sports facilities, studios, a nursery school, theaters, galleries, classrooms, a café, and other community spaces. The organizational budget is $34M, with a substantial proportion of earned revenue in addition to philanthropic support. There are 10 programmatic centers – focused on different aspects of education, wellness, and Jewish life – offering classes, camps, celebrations, performances, and more. There is also a unique community space in Harlem, that was founded as a partnership between MMJCCM and UJA-Federation of NY. A defining set of values – around modern Jewish life, the importance of community, well-being, and inclusivity – knits all of MMJCCM’s spaces, programs, and people together.
