Monica Edelman, MSOLI ’19 is the Director of Development for the Jewish National Fund – USA in San Diego, overseeing an annual fundraising campaign of $2 million. She is pictured here (back row middle) with the Jewish National Fund West Coast Development team. Monica works closely with the board of directors and other lay leadership committees to achieve their goals and promote awareness of the work JNF does in Israel.

Monica was recruited by Jewish National Fund while a student at HUC, completing the Zelikow School of Jewish Nonprofit Management M.S. Organizational Leadership & Innovation program. “My organization was impressed with the fact that I was earning an advanced degree in such a specialized field. The most important bit of information I retained from my studies at HUC is a comprehensive understanding of how nonprofits pursue their missions effectively and how the mission should be communicated to donors so they understand how it fits into the broader landscape of Jewish philanthropy.”
