Designed for HUC students and professionals seeking a deeper understanding of the nonprofit sector and committed to expanding their leadership toolbox.

The curriculum provides theoretic and practical experience to prepare you to lead a Jewish nonprofit. The certificate can be completed with one summer of coursework in Jewish Studies, Jewish Communal Dynamics, and Nonprofit Management.

Requirements
  • Virtual Courses: One summer of virtual coursework (7 weeks) in Jewish Studies, Jewish Communal Dynamics, and Nonprofit Management.
  • In-Person Immersive Experience: This 5-day experience held at the beginning of each summer in various North American Jewish communities, enables you to learn more about the sector while also connecting in-person with fellow students and faculty.
