Open the Door to Your Career as a Jewish Professional Leader
The HUC-JIR Zelikow School of Jewish Nonprofit Management (ZSJNM) provides an intensive, practice-oriented graduate education in Jewish professional leadership. Students come to the ZSJNM with a wide variety of backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives, but all are committed to the enhancement of the Jewish people and the repair of the world as a professional within a rapidly changing Jewish community and nonprofit arena. With eight degree options, including four dual degrees with our neighbor, the University of Southern California (USC), the ZSJNM offers a highly individualized program in professional education, tailored to the particular interests and career objectives of each student.
The ZSJNM partners with the Rhea Hirsch School of Education on a joint MAJNM/MAJE, and partners with the Rabbinical School on a Certificate or joint MAJNM/Ordination. The student experience is further enriched by the insights their colleagues bring from their dual degree programs at USC… in business, public administration, social work, and communication management… as well as their diverse religious, political and cultural perspectives.
Founded in 1968 as the School of Jewish Communal Service to address the need for more highly trained and Jewishly committed professionals in Jewish life, over the past 40 years the ZSJNM has earned a distinguished reputation as one of the premier centers for the education of Jewish professional leaders. Recognizing that today’s Jewish community needs ever more sophisticated management, creative leadership and Jewish vision, the ZSJNM offers a professional program combining multi-disciplinary studies, hands-on field experience, and original research.
